We pre-booked this and the instructions of where to meet and how to identify the tour guide were really easy. Our guide on the day (Ray) is a New Yorker himself and his personal insight into the terrible events on the day of 9/11/2001 were incredible. The tour had very much that personal touch as well as offering details of things that as "outsiders" we didn't know and what the main stream media narrative didn't report on. Probably one of the biggest messages I took away from the trip is "This is New York's/Manhattans memorial tribute to the people that died" that has now become a tourist attraction (definitely made us reflect in terms of photo's etc.). Anyway, great tour that I'd recommend for the information shared alone. The museum was huge, you can't help have a feeling of sadness as you walk around and read and see some of the devastation the event created and how large steel pieces were folded in half like paper. The wall showing all 2977 people that lost their lives that awful day and the additional details that could be found for each and everyone of them on the touch screens (where they lived, a little about them, their family and additional photo's) was heartwarming to see. Top fact from the trip was that the memorial ground waterfalls have 2977 jets and act as tears (representing all 2977 people who sadly died) on the day not just at World Trade but pentagon, flight 93 etc. Highly recommended.
