Finishing at the Memorial Plaza, you'll learn how the new World Trade Center Complex was designed and constructed. This is the definitive Ground Zero experience. Andrew was great. The tour helped make the experience meaningful. The museum itself is a must-do when in NYC. Truly a moving experience. Bring a bottle of water and your most comfortable pair of shoes.

This walking and museum tour was one of the highlights of our trip to New York. We learned about the events of the day in great detail. Christopher, our guide, was friendly, polite, witty, knowledgeable and very sensitive towards the subject and us. This tour gives you insights, perspectives and stories about all the people who were involved in this tragedy with special attention to the brave firefighters and rescuers many of whom gave their lives to rescue others. Since it is a walking tour we got to walk around the entire site of the memorial which includes the inside of the architectually stunning Occulus, the nearest fire station with bronze memorial plaque, the St. Nicholas National Shrine, the elegant Eleven Tears memorial, the World Trade Center and, of course, the two Memorial Pools and the Survivor Tree. We were deeply moved by the skill and thoughtfulness that went into the construction of the entire Memorial. The tour ends with a visit to the museum at which point the guide leaves you. Do allow plenty of time for the museum visit which consists of very detailed exhibits and several short films. The whole experience is heartbreaking but we think this tour is a must when visiting New York.
