Helmets - You can choose the style of helmet you wish to use. You can use a full face helmet or you can use a traditional bicycle helmet. We are the only bicycle tour business that offers both styles.

Fresh, Local Coffee

We will have jackets, pants and gloves for you to use if you would like to borrow some for the excursion.

We do not have soda or pop, but we do have gatorade and bottled water at no extra cost.

Air-conditioned vehicle

Our family of four had the good fortune to book Billy and Maui Easy Riders for two activities: the bike ride down the volcano and the Road to Hana tour. Each experience was fantastic and Billy went above and beyond to make sure our family had a unique and memorable experience. We have two teenage boys, so you can imagine that their activity levels are high, and they both agreed that the two tours were amazing. Firstly, the bike tour. We went with Billy and Timm, who are so fun and cheerful, always willing to stop and take an epic photo of the family. The bikes are specially designed so that you always feel safe (even when picking up speed) and both parents and kids felt perfectly safe cruising down that volcano! Billy comes completely prepared with rain gear, bike helmets, gloves...all the kit that you need. They follow the group in the van, so you feel safe at all times even though each member of the group is traveling at their comfort level. Billy and Timm were very reassuring, letting us know that all was smooth and totally fine at all times. Fantastic and highly recommended! Secondly, the Road to Hana tour. We did this with Billy and enjoyed our ten hours with him! He showed us all the cool places to stop, including those that are known only to the locals. He took his time, we never felt rushed, and he catered the tour to our family's interests and activity levels. We had great food (including local fruits and the world's best popcorn!), and had time to hike and cliff dive. He is also very knowledgeable about the island, and he had us laughing the entire ride (parents and teenagers!). We had a fantastic experience with Billy and Maui Easy Riders. We can't recommend them highly enough!

This review is so excellent, Or 2 reviews in one I should say. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to write this for me, it helps my business so much when people take the time to do this. I am grateful. It makes me genuinely happy that you guys enjoyed all of my dad jokes along the way, and I am so glad that we decided to stop at that last waterfall and jump in together. I can imagine all of your boys (husband included) are very happy they did that as well. I know you guys were staying at an awesome resort so it is really flattering that you took two days to come and do the tours that I offer. Make sure you tell those kiddos I said to keep eating salads for dessert and lay off the excess protein. I don’t know How they do it, as healthy as can possibly be, impressive. Your whole family is awesome, great job!

You won’t find a better bike tour company in Maui to ride down Haleakala. It was an exhilarating and beautiful ride down 25 miles, and most importantly, on extremely safe and comfortable bikes with amazing guides. I went with my husband and there were 5 other riders with us. We purposely chose this tour company for its excellent reviews and the fact that they limit the number of riders to 6-7 people. Billy rode in front of us to guide us down the road and helped us know when to stop off for photo opps or to let cars pass us. Tim rode the van behind us to block any car traffic in our lane and in case any of the riders needed to stop. You have the entire lane to yourself, without worrying about the cars cutting you off or trying to pass you, and you’re not just confined to the shoulder of the road. We stopped off in Makawao to walk around some of the local shops, grabbed a drink and donuts on a stick (delicious!). It was a perfect break along the ride. We couldn’t have asked for better guides - Billy and Tim are personable, hilarious, knowledgeable about the island, and prioritized our safety. Doing this bike tour was a highlight of our trip and we highly recommend. When we’re back in Maui we will definitely be doing this again! If you have any hesitation about the speeds you’ll be going (up to 30 mph at times), have no fear. You can ride the bike breaks as much or as little as you want. With a small group and the van behind you, you can go at your own pace! I thought I would be riding the breaks the whole time but eased up as the ride progressed and loved going at higher speeds! Very liberating! At the end of our trip, Billy gave us great recommendations for lunch in Paia and other attractions in the area. If you have time and enjoy adventure, definitely check out Billy’s Hana tours too. Thanks Billy and Tim for an awesome day!!

Wow. What an amazing trip with Billy and Timm. I’m so glad we did this. Even though I was slightly intimidated riding 25 miles down a volcano and I haven’t been on a bike in 20 years. These two made me feel super comfortable and safe. There were 6 of us in our group. So it was a nice size and having one guide in front and the other follow us in the van made it so that we didn’t have to worry about cars coming up behind us. Those that wanted to go faster could go at the speed they liked up front and I could ride at the pace I was comfortable with in the back. We made stops along the way for pictures and donuts on a stick (amazing) which made everything so perfect. I would highly recommend these guys. They are so easy going and friendly. Thank you both.
