Nicely done overall - I went for the John Waters exhibit and was pleased that I actually enjoyed going through the rest of the museum. My favorite part was the prop items from different movies - the space pieces from 2001: A Space Odyssey, Close Encounters, Gremlins, the piano from Casablanca and the Creature from the Shape of Water. Those are personal preferences however (I enjoy props and costumes). The John Waters exhibit was well done, and I liked the tie into the adjacent exhibit on New Queer Cinema. The museum isn't perfect with use of space, and it is kind of expensive, but everything in LA is very expensive. If there isn't something there that you would really like to see you can probably skip it, but if you are a big movie buff or there is a special exhibit there you are interested in, then it will be worth it.
