Everything about this experience was so wonderful. My boyfriend and I were not sure how many whales we could expect to see. But we saw sooo many! One even popped its head up at me roughly 5 feet from the boat! We also saw plenty of dolphins—they were “playing” with us and swimming in tandem with our boat for quite some time. The crew and everyone involved were so knowledgeable, directed you where the best views were, and really made the experience special—complete with singing a sea shanty at the end. You will be so glad you went!

It was an amazing afternoon with the natural habitats of the water with Discovery Whale Watching. We had a corporate offsite at Monterey for one and half days. After the sessions, we needed fresh air and we ventured out in the sea. Isaiah was an awesome host and his commentary on the lives and habits of whale, dolphin and sea lions were superb. We were very lucky and saw two groups of humpback whales surface munging. We also ran into a dolphin colony and they gave the boat literally a run for the money. Overall, an amazing experience and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Monterey area.

We just returned back to Italy from California and wanted to leave this review for the most amazing trip with Discovery Whale Watch. It was a very bumpy and cold day (early September) but all that was forgotten when we were surrounded by a pod of over 3,000 dolphins! I can't even put in to words how incredible this sight was. On top of that we saw over 11 humpback whales, 2 sea otters and a whole host of sea lions. We were absolutely blown away and had the time of our lives. Thank you for this amazing experience. 100% recommended. The only negative note here is that the lady on the phone when I called early morning to check if the sail was going ahead due to the weather, was SUPER unhelpful and quite rude. It's a shame as every other staff member from this company went out of their way to make this a trip of a lifetime and were absolutely delightful, funny and kind.
