We were greeted at the airport at the baggage claim area with smiling faces and as soon as a van load of passengers had assembled, we were loaded on a comfortable van and transported with friendly and amusing commentary to our hotel. If you aren't on a tight time schedule, this is the right way to go.
We were met at the airport by a young lady. We all had to wait around until all the passengers on her list had arrived -- and there were many!! It took two vehicles, each with a trailer behind. After we finally were told we could leave the terminal, we had to wait outside some more for the vehicles to arrive. They are coming, They are coming was all the young lady could say. Nobody was happy!! Because they weren't coming!! It seems they didn't have enough drivers. Then we had a problem checking in with that particular company hired by Viator when we called to verify the pickup time for the return trip three days later to the cruise terminal. We had to call Viator so THEY could verify information, while we were on the phone before that matter was resolved. Then, we were last to be picked up -- he arrived late -- and suitcases wouldn't all fit. Lots of shoving luggage by foot and all sorts of ways and some had to be put on people's laps that wouldn't fit the packed space. Knowing you are taking people to a cruise terminal should tell you not to pack it with passengers who will each have AT LEAST three bags, if not more. Poor planning. We would recommend a taxi in Honolulu!!
