Highly recommended!!! Ketchikan Clan House Tours. Alaska Cultural emersion tour. Totem Bight State Park, Rainforest Trail and Wildlife sightings. Randy narrated and his Dad Dan did the driving. We toured Totem Bight State Park where Randy explained how to read totem poles and how they tell stories of heroic deeds, legends and other important events with in the clan. We hiked the rainforest trail ( an easy walk)where we had a light snack Randy harvested Devils club along the trail ( a very spiny shrub) and edible berries. His mother Carrie makes slaves and teas out of the devils club bark. We saw a friendly Doe and Fawn, Eagles, and lots of salmon in Whitman Creek at Herring Cove. Randy said he started from a young age fishing, and harvesting with his parents.

We had 11 of us in my family (57 - 87) that toured Ketchikan with Clan House Tours. Dan was fabulous and so was his daughter. We got to see just about everything we wanted to see and he customized our tour to accommodate the ages in our group and some with limited mobility. We saw Totem Bight Park with a ton of history explained, the salmon ladder was facinating, Whitman Falls was beautiful, a bit of shopping in Saxman Village (needed more time there, but our ship was leaving and we didn't want to be left behind), Herring Cove to watch for bears that hid themselves from us unfortunately lol. It was a last minute, we're on the ship booking trying to get 11 people to make a decision and Dan did a fantastic job. Thank you so much!

The tour was perfect for us. Our guide Dan took us from place to place with confidence. We really saw everything worth seeing, the salmon stairs, sea lions, the waterfall, the heritage village and also a bear.... Which was super nice that Dan also told a lot of private stuff. We were a small harmonic group, and it fit perfectly. Thank you Dan. We will recommend you to others.
