As we leave Shem Creek you will see Fort Sumter, the famed site where the first shots of the Civil War were fired. Whether you’re a history buff or simply enjoying the ride, seeing Fort Sumter from the water is a powerful reminder of Charleston’s historical significance.

Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge

You’ll pass the towering Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge, an iconic cable-stayed bridge that connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. The bridge’s modern design and towering height make it a striking feature of the city’s landscape, and passing beneath it gives you a true sense of its grandeur. This is one of the most memorable parts of the sail, with incredible views from below that are perfect for photos.

Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum

Next, we’ll sail past the massive USS Yorktown, an aircraft carrier that played a key role in World War II.
