Captain Matt and our crew, Aubrey and Dawn, were very knowledgable. They made our trip fun and informative. We had a great time as we followed a group of Orcas. We watched as they hunted seals. After the group was joined by more orcas we were treated to a show of the family breaching. The big male got all the way in the air and the baby even joined in! We had a great trip and would go sailing with Outer Island Excursions any time.

This excursion is a must-do if you are in the Seattle area. The crew - Captain Matt, Aubrey and Dawn were all so knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. They had interesting information about the animals we saw. It was like our personal National Geographic tour. We saw over 10 Orcas during our tour, and the crew seemed just as excited to experience this as we were. They crew explained the dynamics between different transient whale pods and we watched it unfold before our eyes! The boat is so big that everyone could see what was going on, no one was fighting for space. It was a wonderful and memorable day.

This was something I have wanted to do for a very long time- go whale watching. We went with my sister's family, so we were 4 adults and 5 kids ranging in age from 14, 13, 11, 8 and 5.This was a great experience. From the very beginning, with some booking errors on my part, the company was great and personable with a very fast response time. We took the tour on Tuesday July 16 at 11, with the crew: Aubrey, Dawn and Matt. They were so awesome and so knowledgeable, They answered questions and made the experience so much more worth it. Their excitement at what we witnessed made the whole trip so much more exciting. It was initially concerning as there was a lot of fog when we started, but as we got out further, we had a great view of nature! We were able to see harbor seals, harbor porpoises, bald eagles, orcas (killer whales), rhinoceros auklets, and a couple other birds (I can't remember specifically their names). The rhinoceros auklet was such an amazing bird to watch, diving underwater and feeding. I wished we could have seen other whales, however what we witnessed was quite spectacular. We saw the orcas feeding, resting, spyhopping, and celebrating their meal. We were able to hear them making sounds underwater, and we were able to witness an interaction with another pod of orcas that came by. The remainder of the time, it was like they knew we were watching and we got a wonderful show of jumps and tail waves. I realize these types of trips just vary on what wildlife we get to see, but very impressed and please with the experience. It was amazing and I would travel with them again, and recommend this crew highly!
