Dan was a great tour guide - accommodating to all and providing great local information. Salmon store and chocolate store were awesome stops!

This tour takes place in a tour van and there is very little walking. If all of the people who signed up actually showed up it would have been a very crowded van. On our trip we spent the first hour and twenty minutes driving around the airport. We were shown and told about the commercial shipping terminals of the airport. I think the idea was to try and see wildlife on the other side but we saw none and it was a boring and uninforming time. The tour guide shared very little historical information about Anchorage except to discuss the planes. He also used misogynistic language and summed up Anchorage’s homeless problems as indigenous people who travel to Anchorage for healthcare, become addicted to drugs and then are not permitted to return to their homes because of their drug problem. It was tough to listen. We stopped at a few shops that were nice to visit, just a little touristy.
