We really liked the museum (the family story line was quite interesting), factory and Jungle Gardens. There could be a few more places to sit and in the shade along the path to stop #2 and #3 for those of us who have trouble walking. Wish we had time to visit the restaurant and eat outside. It looked nice. The store had some pretty high priced items, wish there were more at a lessor price (like 50% less $ ties and t-shirts, etc.). We did purchase a bag clip, some matches, and a snapping "extendo" plastic alligator toy for our grandson. We missed the bottling process day, but enjoyed the video of the process. I was surprised to see what looked like one Tabasco bottle going around that didn't fill, in the video. What really struck us was how a family fortune was made out of a few peppers...and eventually political connections! We wondered where all the peppers currently are "sourced" from-the narrative led us to believe not all were from Avery Island? We ended up spending twice as long as we had "budgeted" for that vacation day at Tabasco land and were glad we did. The azaleas in Jungle Gardens were better than those on New Iberia's touted azalea trail and those on Lafayette's azalea trail also.

Treat yourself to all things Tabasco and explore both the Tabasco Tour and the Jungle Garden Drive. Don’t forget to taste the two types of Tabasco ice cream at the gift shop and the Bird City in the Jungle Garden.

Your factory tour does involve walking so wear good shoes. You can drive through the gardens. They don’t accept cash.
