Bagels, Dumplings, Pizza, & Tacos is fun, insightful and an absolute feast for the senses, usually visiting the Lower East Side, Chinatown, and more.

Eat 4 iconic foods that escaped their cultures of origin to have a big impact on NYC and beyond.

We’ll visit some old standards and some rising stars as we explore the food and the beautiful places they're served, making a total of 4-6 food stops. You’ll be full.

BUT this is not your normal food tour. We don't follow a fixed route. Instead the experienced, licensed guide will get the pulse of the group and draw from a big bag of options to make each outing more personal, memorable, and unique.

We are always learning more about the city, and that's how we can run these organic, informal events that are less scripted and more like an eclectic group of friends out for a food crawl in the city.

Wear comfortable clothes and be prepared to walk. We cover a lot of ground and often eat standing up!

First Park

We meet at First Park, where the grid begins, and smack in the middle of a culinary hotspot. Our first food stop is usually just a few minutes away. THIS IS A SAMPLE ITINERARY. We take input from the group, then draw from a big bag of options to make each outing unique.

Lower East Side

From First Park, we'll head south into the Lower East Side where bagels, dumplings tacos, pizza, and street art await.

Economy Candy

Family-owned and operated for almost 100 years, Economy Candy is a colorful and enjoyable stop. They have candy from all over the world, and candy you might not have seen in decades. Great fun. No purchase necessary.

Chinatown

We'll pass through Chinatown, take in the sights, and eat some dumplings.

Columbus Park

Columbus Park is a well-used and vibrant park with a rich history. We often end our tour here, or nearby.

First Park

Lower East Side

From First Park, we'll head south into the Lower East Side where bagels, dumplings tacos, pizza, and street art await.

Chinatown

We'll pass through Chinatown, take in the sights, and eat some dumplings.

Columbus Park

Columbus Park is a well-used and vibrant park with a rich history. We often end our tour here, or nearby.

If you’re looking for a tour that feels less like a tour and more like wandering the city with a local friend, this is it. Morgan, our guide, made this experience unforgettable. Although advertised as a 3-hour adventure, our tour stretched to an incredible four hours because Morgan was so tuned into the group’s vibe. He would frequently check in with us, asking if the information was too much or just right, adjusting his pace and depth accordingly. It felt so personal and considerate, unlike any other guided experience I’ve had. The best part? This wasn’t a rigid, pre-planned route. We explored at our own pace, walking into different restaurants and soaking in their atmosphere. If one spot was too busy or didn’t quite excite us, no problem—on to the next! It felt spontaneous, just like you’d experience with a close friend showing you their favorite haunts. The focus on four iconic New York foods—bagels, dumplings, pizza, and tacos—was perfect. Each stop added a layer to the story of how these foods influenced New York and how New York, in turn, shaped them. We made at least five food stops in total, each one unique and handpicked based on the energy of the group and the moment. We covered a lot of ground, both literally and figuratively, exploring some of the city’s most beautiful neighborhoods while learning about their culinary history. By the end, my heart, mind, and stomach were full. Wear comfortable shoes, bring your appetite, and get ready to see New York—and its food—in a whole new light. Morgan and his intuitive, flexible approach made this an experience I’ll never forget. Highly recommend!

Morgan did a great job of making the tour fun, customizable, and interesting. The food choices were good and gave a good glimpse into the different cultural themes at play across New York.

Bagels, Dumplings, and Tacos: A New York Food Adventure: I normally don’t leave reviews, but for this tour I am making an exception. Morgan was the best tour guide I have ever encountered- and I love guided tours, taken many. First of all, even though I was the only one signed up for the tour, Morgan didn’t cancel. He was very friendly and accommodating. He took me around the city for 5 hours! We had so much to see & eat. Morgan really went above and beyond. He was very knowledgeable about the city and its history. He showed me little details one normally wouldn’t pay any attention to, visited several neighborhoods, took so many photos! It was a true pleasure. I recommend this tour to everyone who wants to see a different side of NYC in a no-rush, relaxed way.
