My friends and I had a great time on the boat, our captain was very friendly and give us great food suggestions afterwards. Would def do it again the next time I visit

Five of my friends and I booked this excursion during a visit to NOLA. The drive was about 30 minutes from the French Quarter to the marina. There is absolutely nothing to do in the area where the cruise departs so just know that before arriving. We entertained ourselves while we waited for the boat to return from an earlier trip. We were able to purchase a bag of ice for $5 at the bait shop. But, bring your own cups and chilled drinks just in case you have a later departure time and the shop is closed. Also bring snacks. Captain Cook was amazing! He has a great sense of humor and he gave us background information on the waterways and surrounding areas. He stopped for alligator sightings and used a rod with a plastic ball attached to draw an alligator closer to the boat. In addition to alligators, we saw herons (I believe), other birds, fish and snakes whose bodies were extended vertically about 2-3 feet out of the water. WOW! We always felt safe and valued as customers. It’s such a small world that one of the two additional guests was from my hometown in northeastern North Carolina! Such a fun night of music, dancing and lots of laughter!!
