Yumiko was so wonderful in answering all our questions beforehand and kept us informed on the pickup location and time. Wes was our guide, and Aoki-san was our driver and photographer. Both made us feel very welcome and took care of all our needs. Everything was top notch. Highly recommended! To get into some details, we opted for the Onizuka Center. There are bathrooms there. Around the pickup time, the parking starts to fill. So if that's the pickup location, recommend arriving 10 minutes prior to their pickup time. They had warm sandwiches for us to enjoy while getting acclimated to the higher elevation. Then we loaded into the vans. They had heavy jackets and pants and gloves to keep us warm. Definitely recommend putting these on so you can actually enjoy the experience. Wes provided lots of interesting information on the ride up. At the top, both Wes and Aoki-san helped us take photos with our phones and cameras. Aoki-san also took lots of photos with his camera and air-dropped it to us immediately. After the sunset, we went star gazing. Wes used a laser pointer to show us constellations. We even saw some shooting stars! Then Aoki-san set up for some night photos, which were air-dropped immediately after. These were absolutely amazing. At first, I didn't see much, but you have to do some basic photo editing. Just with the iPhone, editing the photo, we could see the Milky Way behind us. Absolutely amazing. Aoki-san took the time to get the photos right and we stayed a little longer when the clouds cleared up for a better photo. This team cares about making this an amazing experience for everyone. Highly recommended

From pick up to drop off the service was incredible. Our tour guide and driver were extremely personable, and genuinely dedicated to ensuring that we had a great experience. The Mauna Kea summit is A once in a lifetime experience that everyone should enjoy. The stargazing at the end was an added plus. I would highly recommend this experience and Hawaiian Eyes.

This tour is a must go! Our tour guides picked us up at around 3:30 pm, and brought us to Mona Kea. We rested for 30-40 minutes at the visitor center in order to acclimate to the altitude. We had sandwiches, which are super tastey and warm! We then went to the summit of Mona Kea and enjoyed the sunset there. Boy, I would never forget what I saw during sunset my whole life; the view cannot be expressed using words. Our tour guide took perfect phots of us (they are so lovely and we plan to put them in our wedding photo album). After sunset, we went down a little bit to a seclusive location to do star gazing. This location is simply amazing, because there is no one but us. Our guides prepared hot coco for us (very much needed), and explianed the constellation and the milky way to us using laser pen. We were also able to see Mars with our bare eyes! Also, we were provided a telescope. Our tour guides are fantastic! They went above and beyond to keep us comfortable (provided warm clothes and gloves), explained all the knowledge surrounding Mona Kea, the stars, and the NASA telescopes, and took mindblowing photos of us during the sunset and star gazing. They even allowed us to stay longer than planned in order to capture unforgettable photos of the milky way and the stars (we brought our Canon 5D). Huge kudos to our tour guides! You guys are amazing!
