I originally posted a review then was asked by the co owner and other people that knew the tour guide to take the post down. However, after seeing someone from the same night post a similar review, I wanted to share our experience. We booked this tour in August after seeing the amazing reviews and were so excited. Our tour guide Jeff, was extremely knowledgeable and we learned a lot about Salems history. However, his demeanor towards one of his security guards/ sidekicks was absolutely inappropriate. Almost every stop, he yelled at him and berated him. At one point, he kicked him off the tour and we did not see him again. The co owner ? explained to me in a personal message that this person was intoxicated and that he was acting erratic , we did not know any of this during the tour. Our tour had small children, families, couples, and everyone on the tour was shocked at our tour guides behavior and made comments throughout the tour. Our family has shared our experience with others and as time goes on, we cannot believe the behavior that went on during this tour especially since we spent quite a bit of money for this tour. We were definitely disappointed and felt awkward as I know others did as well.

I'm very sorry that you had a poor experience with Jeff..who is the co-owner. Nothing like what happened that night with our security person has ever happened before in the 10yrs we've been in business. Derek..the security person..was terminated mid tour due to some kind of inebriated behavior. Please accept my sincere apologies. Warm regards, ~Pamela Captain Owner

Book this tour - you won’t be disappointed! Sarah was our tour guide and she was amazing!!! It was very detailed and she was very clear and well spoken. She had a level of enthusiasm that kept us totally engulfed in the stories!

Jeff was great! So knowledgeable and enthusiastic while also very respectful of the people who died during the trials. Worth the money for sure.
