We arrived in Miami 2 days before our cruise and thought we would take a hop on hop off bus tour around Miami to see the sights. We have done several of these hop on hop off tours before and had a wonderful time- they were very informative, interesting and the bus drivers were all very helpful and friendly. The bus we took this morning had just about the rudest bus driver who really didn't seem to give a crap about her job at all. The commentary was extremely uninformative and actually the bus ride was quite boring. Miami has some wonderful sites I'm sure and we didn't really get to see much of anything that was very interesting. The bus stops were not clearly announced and we had to go and ask the bus driver which stop we were at and she just gave very brief and one word answers to us. We did do the boat ride which was really nice and the staff on that boat were very friendly but trying to find the boat was another story. It is very poorly signed and any staff that you asked where it was they just kept saying just keep walking and you will find it. Overall the boat ride was worth it but the bus tour was not at all.

It was a good way to get to Little Havana from our hotel on the north side of the beach. One could listen to the commentary via provided earphones, but the heavy sunblocking on the windows made it hard to see clearly. Once there was room for us to enjoy the top section, it was a much more delightful experience. The ambiguity in regard to time is frustrating. Every 30 minutes sound easy, but it can translate to almost an hour in the Miami humidity and heat if one does not arrive at the right time. The soundtrack was inconsistent in volume and quality.

We have used this company on numerous occasions, usually they are to a good standard. Unfortunately, this was not one of them, after arriving at stop 2 (South Beach) no big bus signpost and a few passengers walking up and down the street trying to see if they are in the right location. The app states opposite Zara this doesn’t exist as the shop opposite is now empty. The bus was full on arrival, then a lot of passengers got off we then boarded it was obvious that there were a large number of passengers with wristbands “Cruise Big Bus”. The commentary was intermittent with one section describing the Raleigh Hotel as an art deco masterpiece, this hotel is months into a refurbishment, and you can see straight through it. It's at this point you start to think that the audio needs up dating. On to Wynwood Walls stop, where there were more Blue Cruise wrist bands and what can be only described as a scrum to get off and on the bus. Talking to a couple they informed us that they were sold that it’s a cruise exclusive and were surprised that non cruise passengers were allowed to join. At Little Havana the scenes were like a war evacuation with lots of complaints about they had to be back to get the cruise ship as all bored time was fast approaching. A mad push onto a bus that left with standing passengers. As we were near the front of the queue we decided to try and get on the next bus the apps live track stated 21 mins and looked like 2 busses minutes apart. I thought cliché in real time as they are all running the same route a set distance apart. If we couldn’t get on this then, we would use a uber. As one bus appeared on 8th street another went pass on 7th street, we managed to get on the 2nd bus, thanks that there were no children or elderly as the scramble was something that was dangerous and shameful. At stop 1 (the port) the bus emptied as expected and then we were told to get off the bus. Miguel then proceeds to inform us that it was not a hop on hop off service but a start and finish route as per his highlighted timetable. And that this bus was leaving empty along with all busses for the next 45mins (3 in total). I explained to him that this was only happening as they had over-sold tickets and had cruise passengers that needed to be back here for their sail-away. He then told me that if I wasn’t happy put it on Trip-Advisor so Miguel here it is along with the pictures of the empty buses. it's a pity that I have to give a one rating as this is the lowest possible.
