My husband and I purchased the one day downtown tour. The pros: The busses run approximately every 15 minutes, and you are able to see quite a bit of the city. Definitely much cheaper than taking a cab! The cons: When you get off at a stop, you will still need to do some walking. You do not get dropped off right at the point of interest. Also, there is no air conditioning inside the bus, and the windows do not open. The top of the bus is the best place to be, but everyone wants to sit up there so there may not be any seats available. When we visited NY, the temperature was in the mid 80's and all of us inside the bus were very uncomfortable and sweating profusely - including the driver!

Hi Julie, thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Some of our buses do have AC, but it's not like a traditional vehicle AC. Due to the fact that the bus is naturally open to the outside air, it acts more as an airflow and only mildly cools the downstairs.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with the Big Bus Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour in New York City! It was a perfect way to explore the city and capture memories along the way. We took a ton of photos at various stops, and the flexibility of being able to hop on and off as we pleased made it a stress-free day of sightseeing. A special shoutout to our driver, Santana, who made our trip even more memorable. We actually ended up on her bus twice, and both times she went above and beyond, stopping at the best spots for us to take great pictures. Her friendly attitude and professionalism really enhanced our experience. The onboard commentary was also a highlight, filled with historical facts and fun tidbits about the city. Even the child in our group was completely captivated by the information and loved hearing all the fascinating details about the places we visited. Overall, this is a great way to see a lot of iconic sights across New York City without the hassle of navigating the subway or walking long distances. I’d highly recommend the Big Bus Tour to anyone visiting the city—it’s a fun, easy, and informative way to explore New York.

This is a great way to get around to see alll of the highlights in the city. I just wish they had live tour guides on the bus.
