Step back in time with a 4.5-hour visit to one of America's oldest working, living plantations. Be transported to this historic site with an experienced driver on a comfortable, air conditioned mini bus. Boone Hall Plantation has been recognized as the #1 Plantation in the Charleston area, according to USA TODAY. Tour includes round-trip transportation from the Visitors Center in Charleston, all entrance fees, a guided house tour, Gullah Theater (in season), self guided garden and grounds tour, and a tram tour (based on availability). Small-group tour is limited to a maximum of 25 people.

The tour was as advertised. Nice bus, nice bus driver etc. There just isn't really enough to do for 4 hours at Boone Plantation. We wish we would have driven ourselves, there is plenty of free parking. It would have been better to have a tractor tour and house tour already scheduled through the tour company. Instead, you are dropped off, get in line for the tractor tour and have to get a time for the house tour. If it were arranged for you, there would less down time with nothing to do. And the place isn't really all that interesting..

Very nice experience! The grounds are beautiful, but definitely take the tractor tour to get the full view and history of the land. The house is also beautiful, but you are only allowed in 2-3 rooms and no pictures are allowed, so that was very disappointing- when we paid for a tour of the house, we thought we were going to tour the whole house, not just 3 rooms. Staff very friendly and prices are reasonable.
