We went on the Starlight cruise to celebrate an anniversary. It honestly was a mixed bag, while most of the staff was great, the ladies at the reservation desk when we checked in were just plain rude. Sorry I do not consider 2 people have dinner a "group" . The meal and views were fantastic. But I felt horrible for the wait staff. Only 3 couples were not part of a larger group, and for the most part the wait staff did not have time to serve us, so we were ignored. The groups were large and kept the staff hoping with drink orders. It was not the staff's fault and they either needed more people or should not have opened it up to reservations from people not in the group. Also we were asked if we wanted the DJ to announce our Anniversary, we said yes as did the couple next to us. Well that never happened. I felt bad for the young couple as it was their first anniversary. I have experienced dinner cruises on the company's Chicago fleet and the service has always been outstanding. In this case they should have just stuck with the large groups and not added the 3 extra couples.
