We went to Busch Gardens with our family of 4, and friends with another family of 4. Park opened at 10:00 am, we arrived at 10:30. On the website, it said Sheikra, Falcon's Fury and the Skyride were closed, no big deal. Once we walked in, totally different story. Iron Gwazi--closed. Tigris--3 employees standing at the entrance to say they were having a "delayed opening." ...so Closed. We could tell that Montu, Cobra's Curse and Cheetah Hunt were not running. Even the two climbing nets in Jungala and Sesame Street were closed. Since most attractions were closed, we decided to have lunch at Chik-Fil-A. 4 sandwiches, 4 fries, 2 soft drinks and 2 milk shakes--total over $96! After lunch we decided to ride Stanley Falls Flume, one of the few attractions open. Then we got on Congo River Rapids and Kumba. Well, let's go look at the animals, so on to the train. 5 minute ride to the next stop, then sat for 25 MINUTES before pulling out of the station again. During the train ride, we saw the coasters in Egypt finally started running (this was around 1:30 pm) so we moved over there. 90 minute wait lines...argh. We gave up and left the park around 3 pm. As we were driving away, we saw the Iron Gwazi finally started running. What a waste of a day, and ticket costs plus $30 parking and $96 lunch for 4 rides.
This park was very run down, many toilets and urinals didn't work, bathrooms were filthy and areas were closed off. Do you want a bottle of water? Good luck, and it will be a long walk. Probably 3/4 of the snack bars and restaurants were closed. We were only there for 3 1/2 hours (1 hour of that waiting for and eating lunch) and it was a TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! We will never return, and I highly recommend you spend your money at Universal instead.
