Eleven miles northeast of Boerne at 325 Kreutzberg Rd. in the scenic Texas Hill Country is Cave Without a Name, a natural, living cavern, and some say the most beautiful in Texas. The the cave is 39 miles from downtown San Antonio. It was opened for public tours in 1939, and is designated a National Natural Landmark. Experienced guides take you on a tour which is both entertaining and educational for visitors of all ages. It begins with a magical descent down 126 steps taking you back in time many thousands of years. Eighty feet below the surface, the cave maintains a constant temperature of 66 degrees. The complexity of the cave formations make the first visit and every subsequent visit an awakening experience of nature's underground masterpiece. *Uber & Lyft are difficult to obtain return passage from our location so we recommend you have a scheduled return if you use those services.

Tours begin at the top of the hour at 325 Kreutzberg Rd, Boerne, TX 78006. There is no meet-up point. Please arrive at the Visitor Center 20 minutes before your tour to allow for check-in and restroom visits. The last tour of the day is one hour before closing. Only water is allowed in the cave. We suggest you wear supportive shoes and bring your camera!

Come experience the magnificent underground world! Cave without a Name is filled with spectacular formations of Stalactites, Stalagmites, delicate Soda Straws, Cave Drapery, Flowstones, Rimstone Dams, and more which formed over thousands of years in complete darkness. Enjoy a one hour tour of the six major rooms in comfort of 66 degrees year-round with easy walkways and brilliant lighting. Our cave tour allows guests to take in the experience in a small group. Arrive early or stay late and have a picnic from your favorites in your basket. Above ground activities include our Gift Shop, a Gemstone/Fossil Sluice, Geode slicing, and a shaded Canyon Rim Trail to take a hike. Ages 5 and under are free with a paid adult ticket. All prices include tax.

The photos I was able to take were beautiful and the cave was well lit. I brought my children to experience and get an idea how there are wonders on earth that have not been destroyed or modernized by man. I specifically asked if there were stops on the tour where I would be able to photograph my children in front of the formations. The tour guide was short saying there would be plenty of stops where we would have the opportunity to take photos, then proceed to tell me and the group he had to start his “speech” over due to my question (which he asked if I had) interrupted him. As we continued through the cave I felt rushed and there were literally a handful photos-at most of photos of my children. I brought my selfie stick to photograph my experience in the cave and I had no opportunity to use it. Near the middle of the tour the guide offered to take one picture of my family, ONE. The photo was nice but there were multiple places I could have taken remarkably photos but I was rushed through the 35 minute tour which was scheduled to be an hour after being asked to arrive 30 minutes before. This would have been a wonderful trip and the photos I “would” have had could be shared with family years to come. I was disappointed and if given the time to truly appreciate Earth’s rarities was cut short. We were given more time and attention in the gift shop then we were in the attraction. The highlight of the experience was the children were able to select a geo for great price and were able to see the stone be cut right in front of them.

This was so cool, we really enjoyed the tour and the tour guide was great, waiting for all of us, to be sure we were safe and with the group.

My husband and I enjoy visiting caves and caverns. This one was fantastic. The guide was very knowledgeable and was a pleasure to follow through the cave.
