My favorite thing to do whenever I visit NYC is to walk Central Park.
With this latest trip, I didn’t have time to take my annual stroll.
So when I found out that this option existed, I had to do it! Plus, it allowed me to get a run in on this vacation.
This tour was amazing: For starters, the pace is easy but a good workout (around 7:30/km or 12:00/mi). It was akin to my recovery runs.
Next, the areas we traversed: Some were familiar but from a new perspective. And the rest… wow! I could not believe that I missed so much during my walks.
The hills, the plants, the bridges, the bodies of water, the paths—so much to take in.
I highly recommend this for casual runners, high-level runners, and even those who believe themselves to be bad at running.
The sights, the tour guide, and the ease makes this welcoming to all and a fun, unique experience.
(PS I recommend the morning for the great vibes and sun)
