Really enjoyed the informative cruise around the harbor. The boat was very clean and COVID compliant, the crew were helpful and the captain did a nice job with the tour with a sense of humor. Good way to get an overview.

The ticket was for a 10:30am departure. After waiting at the dock for 35 min, a crew member finally spoke to us to say departure was actually 11:30. The captain walked by us multiple times & never said a word. Guests, some seniors, were standing in 86 degree full sun awaiting boarding while crew was standing around in shade on boat. If ever there was a reason to get on boarding underway sooner, this was it. Instructions were yelled to guest on dock. More time in the sun waiting The rear group could not hear. Share as you check guests in that masks are required.. The tour was read from a script. Nothing of great interest. Bar service took forever. Making a point of encouraging tips & then to ring a bell when a tip was shared upon disembarkment was in very poor taste. Put more effort into how you treat guests vs getting tipped in the end. Not worth the money spent.

Thank you for taking our harbor tour. We changed the time from 10:30 a few weeks prior and reached to you via phone and left a voicemail confirming such. Since you booked through a 3rd party, your phone number given was the only option to contact you. The crew did not say anything at boarding because they were doing their regular preparation for the tour and did not realize you had not gotten the message that the tour time changed to 11:30. Everyone other customer that had reserved in advance received the message. Masks are required everywhere in Charleston, we have signs everywhere at boarding, check in, on the boat and mention it multiple times over the PA. Our tour is live narrated, but of course there is a script that has been well researched and there is freedom to deviate from that if there is a dolphin sighting or a container ship or something interesting in the harbor that isn't on every tour. Most guests enjoy the fact that the crew rings their bell in appreciation of gratuities. They work very hard doing multiple tours a day in the 86 degree heat that you mentioned so that we can showcase the beauty of Charleston to our guests. Gratuities are a normal part of any tour and are certainly never expected but appreciated for an enjoyable experience.
