This was our first visit to Charleston and we signed up for Eric's walking tour. He's a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about S.C. history and architecture. There's no doubt that Eric has walked down every single side alley in this beautiful city. My husband and I agreed that this was an 11 on a scale of 1-10. There are lots of tour guides here but I'm pretty sure we got the best person for the job. Sign up yesterday.

My recently retired husband and I had a 2 1/2 hour tour of historic Charleston today with Eric. It was amazing! We both think it is the best tour we've ever had. My husband and I have been in Charleston for a week and have been on several other tours already, but we learned so much more this afternoon. Eric is very knowledgeable and passionate about history and made everything so interesting. It was a Monday and lightly raining, so there were only 4 of us on the tour, but he always limits his tours to 10 people or fewer. It was so nice to have such a small group! We highly recommend this tour to anyone in the Charleston area.

We took the history walking tour with Eric, probably the most qualified walk leader we've ever met! He presented the history of this town, which he obviously loves with such enthusiasm. The 2.5 hours flew by -I would have been more than happy to spend longer learning about the city. Because of his academic background he is able to present the history of the city on the national and world stage. Fascinating stuff and he makes it very easy to understand - don't miss it!
