This was our first stop on our cruise shore excursion and I was so looking forward to it. When we arrived 6 of us were put into an SUV which meant that we have to stuff 2 people in the back, 3 in the middle and put one up front. That would be ok, if your were getting in and out, in and out, in and out, in and out...like 5 or 6 times. After that, it just gets plain old. Our tour guide was painfully shy and although sweet as can be just didn't have that ol'tour guide spirit. She answered questions but didn't offer anything much more. Matter of fact, we all agreed to end out tour an hour earlier as we were all "done". I feel like we wasted an opportunity to do and see something else. We did see many bald eagles, but that's it. It wasn't worth the money sadly.

I'm glad to hear that you saw many bald eagles on our tour. Haines is known as the " Valley of the Eagles" for a good reason. I'm so sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our excursion. Our goal with Rainbow Glacier Adventures is to exceed our guests' expectations and we clearly let you down. I personally train all our guides and each has a different style and level of experience. No guide is perfectly compatible with all groups. I believe in each employee but I also take constructive criticism seriously. Sometimes, additional training is required and its only through feedback from guests like you that I know which guides and what type of training would have the most impact. I stand by our reputation as a "five-star" company. I would like to talk to you more in person about your experience. Please give me a call at your convenience.

Jen is the BEST!!!! She told us about herself and her adventures as well as everything we could want to know about the wildlife in the area. Took us for lunch at the Pilot (?) House - best Salmon Bisque i ever had, but it should be called STEW, as it was FULL of salmon and veggies and excellent flavor. We saw eagles at a bend in the river where others wouldn't bother us, learned about the plants in the area, even TASTED sitka spruce! Can't imagine a better experience, THANKS TO JEN REID!!!

We really enjoy working with Uncruise and appreciate the confidence that Uncruise has put in us. We were chosen to provide an included rafting tour for all Uncruise guests when they come to Haines this season and it truly is an honor. Kim is a great driver and guide and you were lucky to have her as she is also one of our top photography guides.
