Wish I had seen all these terrible reviews before we booked this as they echo our experience. The bus tour was horrible. While my husband enjoys being driven around so he can look around, we didn’t really see much and the guide imparted very little information about what we were seeing that we couldn’t infer ourselves. On our drive through Wynwood it could have been any neighborhood as we didn’t drive by even one piece of art…and there is so much there! Driving through Brickell he told us the name of one building…a hotel which I could read the nameOf and he said it was “swanky.” Ok. He talked a lot about the drug culture and the Miami Heat. It was essentially a 1 hour drive with an hour stop in Little Havana where we were herded into a cigar shop, the tourist center, and another shop. It was hot and too crowded to fit everyone from the bus into those spots at once! Some of wandered a bit on our own, but not knowing the plan we didn’t go to far. It would have been nice to impart some information about the neighborhood and give us some time to wander on our own but that clearly wasn’t the plan of forcing us into predetermined shops. We then were driven to Bayside where we were dropped off. But like others have said, the caption was “missing” so we were herded to a restaurant where we could eat and wait for our boat tickets. This clearly happens everyday as the restaurant had it down and knew our guide. Our sandwiches weren’t bad. Again, logistical information was lacking and sketchy and most of us were confused about where to go when. The boat ride was better and we enjoyed the tour of the bay. It was mostly seeing the mansions of the rich and famous, but we knew that was what it would be and the ride was enjoyable. There was a lot of pressure for tipping the guides and the bus guide really didn’t deserve it. After the boat ride we just felt dumped off and kind of abandoned trying to figure out when the bus would be there and exactly where. We ended up just taking an Uber back to our hotel as we were closer at Bayside than if we had ridden the bus back to the starting point. Sounds like we may have been waiting for the bus for a long time so glad we did that.
