Crystal River

This tour is ALL about finding the best manatee spots and utilizing our clear kayaks to give you the best viewing possible without getting wet! Crystal River is known as the “Manatee Capital of the World.” On this tour, we want our guests to experience Manatees in their natural habitat. Crystal River is fed by dozens of natural springs, which makes it is a hotspot during Florida’s “colder” months. Between November and March, hundreds of manatees migrate inland to the springs to seek refuge and stay warm. We can’t control where they might be in the area, but our experienced guides will take you to where they are most active! While manatees are our main focus of this tour, we often see dolphins, fish, turtles, birds, and more! This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure includes a relaxed paddle through Kings Bay to Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs, and beyond in Crystal River. Check this paddle off your manatee bucket list! After doing a lot of research and reading reviews, we chose Get Up and Go Kayaking and so glad we did! We knew exactly what we were paying and didn’t get “dime and nickeled” for add ons. We were a party of 8 ranging from 4-60+. Connor was our guide and was knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. He was laid back and down to earth. You can tell he loves his job and the area. Definitely recommend this company if you are in the area! Hoping to visit some of their other locations on future trips!

This was my first time kayak’ing and enjoyed it so much! Even saw a manatee! Matt was a great guide today. Explained our surroundings…. Once we got into three sister springs it was so beautiful and relaxing. Will certainly do it again.

This was the most amazing experience for my family. We had a fabulous time kayaking and seeing all the natural beauty that Florida has to offer. We were fortunate to see Manatee in the bay and also in Three Sister Springs. A great experience seeing these lovely creatures in their natural habitat. But the best part was our guide, Connor, he was very knowledgeable about this environment and made sure that everyone was enjoying their kayaking experience. He answered all questions that we asked and added tidbits of information about the springs and the bay. We would definitely do the tour again and I highly recommend “Get Up and Go Kayaking” and if possible ask that Connor be your guide. Oh yes, the clear kayak was great too because you were able to observe everything that was below the water.
