You're in a special city. Why take an ordinary tour? This is the ONLY convertible MINI Cooper tour in the country!

This tour is totally customizable – you choose the length of the tour, what time you want to be picked up, and what you want to see.

I love San Francisco and have spent 20 years studying and exploring the city. I’ll work with you to plan your tour so you can see the famous sites and the hidden gems other tours can't go to or don't know about. I’ve designed this to be the type of tour I would take if I visited San Francisco, but where you go is up to you. I make suggestions along the way, but how long you spend at any site is up to you. You're never rushed, and never have to wait for other people. It's all about you!

Plus, it's fun! In the convertible MINI Cooper, you see everything up close and personal as we drive along.

I love showing guests San Francisco, and talking about the history and culture of this unique and special city.

Lombard Street

If the time is right and there isn't too much traffic (usually weekend and holiday afternoons) we drive down the famous crooked st. If we can't drive down, we can at least drive by, and get out for photos if you want to.

Chinatown

Drive through this neighborhood, and learn about its history and culture. As I talk about the architecture, you can look up an see it as we drive through in the convertible MINI Cooper.

Haight-Ashbury

Drive down the street made famous in the 1960's, and learn why the music and culture made resonated around the world.

Golden Gate Park

Drive through the park, see the museums and the Japanese Tea garden. Guests enjoy driving through and learning the history of this urban garden created on top of 1,017 acres of sand. If open, there is an opportunity to go into the observation tower of the DeYoung museum.

Twin Peaks

Experience a spectacular view of the entire city, the Bay, and if the weather is clear, bridges as far south as Silicon Valley and up near the wine country.

16 Avenue Tiled Steps

The 16th Ave Tiled steps are only part of what you can see. I can show you a lesser known but equally as impressive tiled staircase, and what these staircases looked like before they were transformed into this urban art piece.

From the minute we spoke on the phone making arrangements till the moment he dropped us off, I had the feeling that this was going to be THE best decision I had made in a very long time. I was right. Reed was absolutely fantastic. Whether it was his always informative, well researched descriptions of each spot along our 3+ hour journey, or the fabulous recommendations he made for the rest of our trip, we felt completely tended to and spoiled through our entire experience. I only wish every city I visited had this kind of tour because now that I have seen what it looks like to be shown a city in the way, anything else will just be a disappointment. The Mini Cooper was surprisingly comfortable and Reed was easy to hear and his driving superb. So nice to not have to try to navigate that crazy town myself, that would have been very tiring and stressful.

Small Car Big Time Tours was a totally delightful way to see San Francisco! Reed promptly picked us up, was professional in his manner, and provided an outstanding private tour of the many interesting locations of the city. And the convertible Mini Cooper was just plain fun! What a fantastic day!

We loved the tour by Mini Cooper! We hadn't been to SF since our honeymoon 25 years ago and so it was like we were seeing it all for the first time! Reed was very knowledgeable on the history of SF with a flare that kept us wanting to learn more. If you come to SF we recommend this tour for sure!
