Charleston City Market

Our Barn is located just off of the Charleston City Market. You will meet your certified tour guide here and then you will depart on your hour long horse or mule drawn carriage tour. The carriage will go through the City gate at the market where the tour guide is assigned a tour route. You will see about 30 blocks of the historic district which will include beautiful architecture, churches, buildings, gardens and more. The tour returns to the Big Red Barn.

I travel to Charleston on about a yearly basis and over the past 5 or so years, I've taken tours with Palmetto 3 on different occasions. Every time, has been an over the top great experience. Super knowledgeable docents, everyone is friendly and personable, and I love that they go above and beyond the city standards in making sure their animals receive the best care. Highly recommend Palmetto for anyone looking for a great historical and scenic tour through the downtown district!

Went on a tour with our group of 8, led by Scott and a great horse, Elwood. Scott was so informative, his love of history and the area were obvious.
