Our guide looked just like Owen Wilson! This was a great activity to do. The day was sunny and the route we took allowed us to see the beautiful architecture of Charleston. The guides are funny and the experience is light hearted and a wonderful way to see the city. We took this ride as a recommendation from several friends and it did not disappoint.

Sadly, the horrific winds caused a cancellation of all carriage rides for the safety of animals and humans. I applaud the decision of the tour operators to put safety above profit.

We are lifelong students of historic american architecture and were looking forward to this experience. We were somewhat disappointed. The weather was great , they take very good care of their horses and the drivers are knowledgeable. The staff was great, friendly and helpful and there is a rest room there. As luck would have it, our carriage drew the worst route, the ride was through a not so historic area and then went down 1 street and returned on the exact same street/route! Could they not do any better than that???.....like go back on another street?? ugh, so disappointing. The price was high ($82 for 2 seniors/AAA) considering we were crowded 4 to a row, the carriage full. Jammed in like sardines, IMO.
