U.S. Custom House
Your route also includes a pass by the iconic U.S. Custom House in Charleston, S.C. Construction began in 1852 but was halted due to South Carolina's potential secession from the Union. The building was finally completed in 1879, adding to Charleston's rich history.

Everyone was so warm and kind when we arrived at the red barn. This was a wonderful way for my husband and I to get introduced to the downtown area on our first ever visit to Charleston. Our guide brought history to life. We really enjoyed our mellow horse, Teddy. These horses seem to be very well cared for by the animal-loving humans we met there.
