We did this tour in 2017 and loved the guide so much we did it again in 2021 with some friends. 2017, outstanding tour, saw Caribou, Moose and just enjoyed the nature with our boys. I wish I did a review on Tripadvisor then so I could remember the guides name.
2021 - HORRIBLE! Highly suggest if a lady that goes by Nan, Ann, Man, something along those lines picks you up, you say give me another guide - she's a retired teacher and you can tell she was one of those controlling teachers.
Guy on phone said be outside at 715am, she arrived around 7am and at 708am we got a call asking where we were. We walked out but I forgot my mask so went back and got back at 720 - I guess she was talking shet the entire time until I showed up, she stayed quiet other than her nasty azz remark "oh, you're the one we've been waiting on."
We get to the Jeeps, 4 adults. They have us booked for 1 Jeep - I ask if theres anyway to get our friends their own. Her nasty azz attitude!!! Felt like leaving right there. She says she'll see what she can do - comes back with no, we'd have to charge you for a whole nother booking. WHATEVER BEACH! We hit the road and the rest of the trip was sad for the next 4 hours. She was condescending, rude, snarty, not friendly and you know it's true when my wife and her kind friend say the same thing. We wanted to just turn around in the Jeep and go home but we tolerated her. She tried to have a few conversations but can't deal with unkind folks such as herself. My buddies are much nicer than me - they said thank you and still tipped. Me, got out that Van and never looked back! GET RID OF HER.
As for the tour - Jeeps are cool - be warned - You don't go into Denali National Park, you ride the outside roads of it. You can do it on your own in your own car if you have one. The guides do have a lot of knowledge about the area though. Overall, a persona can make or break a trip and I won't recommend this tour anymore.
