They canceled our 4 reservations WHEN WE GOT THERE. We drove 45 minutes only to be told that the weight limit for the tour had been exceeded. We booked way in advance and they asked for our weights TWICE - once after we booked, the other a few days before. We had even called a week in advance so we could make sure we packed appropriately, but they never answered or returned our calls. They said they sent an email notifying us of the cancelation the morning of our tour, but we didn't get anything from them until several hours past our tour time.
Super disappointing and unprofessional. More notice and a call to notify us would have been appreciated especially since it was a last minute cancelation. It would have also been nice if they could have worked with us to get us in another time. We could have rearranged our itinerary with more notice, but instead we missed out on an experience that we were really looking forward to. Proceed with caution, find another kennel, or if you roll the dice, stay on top of them to ensure that you will be able to dog sled.

Your tour was cancelled by the appropriate methods through Viator. Yes, I try my best to keep lines of communication completely open, as you have stated you recieved multiple methods of correspondence. Since you booked in April, if I were to go back in our correspondence, it is very likely you were made aware of possible cancellations due to weather. It was too hot to conduct your tour in April at 50F. Multiple tours were cancelled and most companies closed on or around April 1st. I even tried rescheduling some of my guests with multiple other companies, NO luck. Everyone was closed.
Due to the physical nature of dogsledding- dogs pulling weight- I would think that me explaining that it was not a realistic expectation for dogs to pull your group since they could possibly overheat would be enough. No, instead this review states nothing, other than communication was kept open, you were unfortunately not able to do the activity, and yet you were refunded in full. I apologized to each and every one of the folks that could not attend a tour due to our business closing for the season.
Unfortunately your tour fell on the end of our season. Many wintertime activities got cancelled due to increased temperatures. I did and will continue to do what is in the best recourse for these dogs here despite unrealistic expectations. I take their health and care very seriously.
