It was really a fun way to see the beautiful lights in this neighborhood. Unfortunately our tour was about an hour late returning and the ride was anything but smooth. We are not sure if it was the bus or the driver, but it wasn’t smooth even on the highway. The other problem was following our guide. She definitely needed a tall stick with lights on it so we could find her. We lost sight of her in the crowds many times, and I’m tall enough to see over people.

Such a magical experience! Our fab guide Steve shared golden nuggets of knowledge as we left Manhattan, bringing the lesser known aspects of New York to life. The houses were absolutely stunning, we had an opportunity to see how people live near the city. Learning the story of how the tradition came about was lovely. Steve kept us all safe and was so friendly. The stop off by the Brooklyn bridge gave us some incredible views and the backdrop to my favourite holiday picture. Just all round great - thank you for a fab experience.

My Mum, Sister and I recently took this tour and were very impressed with the insanely decorated houses! The tour guide was funny, friendly and witty. However, there were so many other people walking and driving around the streets of Dyker Heights (other tours and locals) that it was busy and chaotic and we struggled to see our tour guide amongst the crowds. It would have been much better if the tour guide held a flashing light or something similar in the air for us to follow like other groups. We found the tour was mostly spent frantically searching for the tour guide and trying to keep up to ensure we didn’t get lost or left behind. The walk was quite quick paced and I didn’t feel we had much time to stand and observe the houses before we were marching onto the next. Overall, the lights were fab but we would have liked a slower paced experience and time to actually take in the houses/sites.
