We booked through Viator and Darnell Johnson of Reliable Transportation and Tours too us on our day to visit Tupelo. Our tour ended up being quite private, just the two of us in the car with Darnell. He picked us up at our hotel right on time and was just lovely in manner and very information as we traveled through to Mississippi from Memphis, then on to the Birthplace and other places of interest related to Elvis in Tupelo. We really enjoyed the experience of visiting the Elvis Presley Birthplace, Tupelo Hardware where Gladys purchased his first guitar, the park where he first performed and the drive-in restaurant spot where he ate. I had a Dough Burger and we sat in his booth. Would recommend this tour if you have a day in your schedule and we would highly recommend Darnell. This was our third day using his transportation, this day being a tour. He is simply great.

Collected from the hotel. Lovely transport and very informative tour guide. Tupelo was amazing but the tour felt rushed. An extra hour there would have made a huge difference to the day. Definitely worth a visit.

Visited Tupelo to see where it all began for Elvis. Seeing the shotgun house, the church and the cafe where Elvis had his favourite booth was nothing short of magical. The next day a visit to Graceland showed how Elvis loved to shower himself and others with the best money could buy. When you see how he lived in Tupelo with not much in a monetary sense but a loving family it helped in understanding the man. Well worth the drive out there especially if you are lucky enough to sit in the “Elvis” booth.,
