I took my sister and her two kids (ages five and six) here when they visited from Illinois. They were so in awe of just about everything. We only saw two gators that day (I've seen many more other times I've come here), but our guide was so good at telling us about all the other things that go on in the Everglades. Nobody felt like we missed out on anything. I highly recommend the airboat tour; it's just a really cool experience. The alligator show is pretty lame...my niece and nephew were not impressed by that at all. But getting to hold a baby gator and have their picture taken with it after the show was totally worthwhile, and that was included in our ticket price. Definitely a fun event for people of all ages.

we went with the VIP tour last Monday. We were picked up by Rafael at our hotel and he was very informative on our way there. We were on boat #2. It was so peaceful and we did see 3 gators. The guide kept a running commentary. When we returned we went to the show and I thought it was informative. We enjoyed our trip back to the hotel. When we got there we asked Rafael where our picture was. We were informed by the people taking them before we got on the boat that if we were on a VIP tour our drivers would have them. Guess what huge disappointment it was not true. Since we paid for this as part of our tour I emailed the park immediately and I got no response.... too bad!

My husband and I rode the airboat on a Friday morning - huge disappointment! Tourist trap! It was a one-hour tour and we probably only did 5 minutes worth of speeding. The rest of the time we sat in the boat and listened to what the driver had to say. It was hot & humid and we didn't enjoy the down time even tho the boat had a cover. We saw 3 smallish alligators, mostly submerged, one vulture and one cardinal. There is a lot of construction in the area and there was a one-lane portion of road (with construction) as you approach the entrance to the park. We didn't have time to stay for the alligator show. Our driver was very knowledgeable and did OK with the humor. I've ridden jet boats before so was expecting a lot more "action." I feel it was money down the drain :(

Your input and feedback are extremely important to us as we always want guest expectations to be met upon arrival. We do realize that everyone has their own preference when it comes to our airboats and that is why we do also offer private tours which can be done on open airboats. These private tours can also be tailored to your group's preference should you wish to hit a few extra speed trails along the way! We do hope you will give us another try in the future.
