What if you could snorkel with the most graceful, beautiful creatures of the ocean?

Night Manta Snorkeling tour is the #1 rated activity on the Big Island for a reason. We take you out to one of two different manta sites with professional captain and crew to show you some of the Big Island's most majestic sights: manta rays. The ocean's most graceful giants are attracted by our custom-built LED light board and come right up to our boat to say hello. Then they swim around and around us, like they're showing us their favorite places in the sea before disappearing into the darkness again. It's truly incredible!

After we've had our fill of swimming with these beautiful creatures, the boat heads back towards shore while we stargaze on deck under the stars (you might even see shooting stars!). It's truly the ultimate Hawaiian adventure!

We had up close and personal encounters with many manta rays. There was somewhere between atleast 3 and maybe more than 7. We moved the board to different locations and at the end hooked up boards with another group to get extended barrel rolls. This crew was so informative and professional. Thanks Captain Andrew, Amy, and Taya.

Watching huge manta rays feed inches away from us was a highlight of our family’s trip to Kona. Our party included skeptical teenagers who weren’t sure that floating in the ocean was going to be interesting, and an excited, but somewhat wary, younger sibling who wasn’t sure that jumping into the ocean in the middle of the night was a good idea. In the end, everyone loved it. The captain and crew were great at getting everyone comfortable. We had the perfect amount of time in the water - enough to fully enjoy the manta ray experience, but not so long that we got too cold. The bathroom on the boat was also good to have available.

This is a one of a kind experience. Andrew and Jessie were knowledgeable, safety-conscious, and welcoming. They shared a lot of information about the mantas and got us to spots where we had at least 5 Manta rays swimming with us for 40 minutes. The Mantas were incredibly beautiful, gentle giants and the LED lights on the float board illuminated them so well as they fed in the plankton. Thank you Hawaiian Adventures for a great evening!
