We believe a meal on Kauai should be unique and represent the abundance, flavors and cultures of the island.! Our experience offers a showcase of what grows on Kauai in our regenerative food forest: A collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak'i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! More importantly it demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony with nature, planted in concert so there is no need for imported fertilizers and pesticides. The tour concludes with a family style meal to savor and enjoy while celebrating the delicious diversity that exists on Kauai all while exploring our mission here at Common Ground. 100% Island sourced because it should be, from the cooking oil to the seasonings. Relax into a perfect island evening in a beautiful tropical farm setting.

Expert guide with deep knowledge and insight into earth friendly farming practices.Simply amazing! Learned so much & took loads of pictures. Dinner with every single ingredient from local (Hawaii) farms was amazingly tasty from salad to sorbet! And fresh eggs cooked to taste…had forgotten how good they are!

So wonderful to share a few hours with these truly passionate people at this very special place. Start with a walk to the Stone Dam which dates back to the early sugar plantation that once occupied this land in the 19 century. Enjoyed the 15 minute walk and beautiful setting. We returned to participate in the interpretive tour with Sophia who shared her extensive knowledge of regenerative farming and the broad range of trees and plants Common Ground have planted. Learned about the history of many of the plants and trees and their food and medicinal use. The evening ended with a delicious meal with food sourced entirely from Hawaii with much of it coming from Common Ground. These people have a vision and a passion for a sustainable Hawaii that needs to be supported. You will come away inspired!
