We believe a meal on Kauai should be unique and represent the abundance, flavors and cultures of the island.! Our experience offers a showcase of what grows on Kauai in our regenerative food forest: A collection of exotic and delicious foods brought to Hawai`i from all corners of the globe. Coffee, pineapple, tree tomato, kava, mamak'i, heart of palm, papaya, bananas, and more! More importantly it demonstrates a model for how food can be grown in harmony with nature, planted in concert so there is no need for imported fertilizers and pesticides. The tour concludes with a family style meal to savor and enjoy while celebrating the delicious diversity that exists on Kauai all while exploring our mission here at Common Ground. 100% Island sourced because it should be, from the cooking oil to the seasonings. Join us as we explore Common Ground's magnificent campus. The walking tour meanders through our regenerative food forest, designed by Director of Agroecology John Parziale, where he and his team explain its intricate and interconnected systems. We’ll experience the offerings of the land more deeply through a fruit tasting including fresh, local and traditional varieties. We'll finish our day at the Common Ground lounge with pupus made primarily with ingredients grown on Kauai! Wine, beer and farm-crafted cocktails available for purchase. Equally perfect as a family outing or a an adventure with your friends. Get excited about eating delicious new foods grown through regenerative agriculture that nourish both the earth and our bodies. Our family really enjoyed the food and farm tour. Our guide, Kelani, was passionate about regenerative farming and interesting to listen to. The dinner was delicious, and so cool that every ingredient was grown on the farm, Kauai or Hawaii. Fun thing to do for dinner!

Kauai never disappoints. A stroll to the Stone Dam was perfect. The stone dam is set back in a beautiful garden. We entered at the Dog Park and walked along side of Mahogany Trees, Fields and Shaded paths. Walked along the cliffs past Shipwreck Beach. We saw, some sort of Manta Ray, Turtles and a whale spouting not to far off shore. It was a Trifecta of a day. Something I have not seen before so close to shore were the Rays.

We didn't really know what to expect with this experience but it sounded interesting and fun! Overall, we enjoyed ourselves but it wasn't quite what we expected. The first part is a tour of their farm which was great! Our guide was nice and informative and we got to ask lot's of questions. The second part was where we sat down for our meal. We thought "family style" meant there was going to be trays of food served in the center of the table and we could take what we want. In reality, we were served a three course meal: a salad, main entrée & a dessert. All of the food was delicious and either local to their farm or partner farms which was pretty cool! Another interesting things is that the meal always changes depending on what's currently in season. However, it could have been more food for how much the experience costs. We also didn't realize that alcoholic drinks were not included either, which made us question the total cost of the experience.
