Had an excellent time today doing this tour tasting gumbo, learning about the history of the French quarter with a very knowledgable guide. Good food, great people a great way to experience NO if you're interested in food. you might not be hungry at the end of the tour after sampling the various specialties along the way. We are traveling with an infant and would recommend a carrier not a stroller although our stroller fared okay and our boy was well behaved. The guide was very patient and accommodating with us and we greatly appreciated her service. However if your child is michevious you might want to find a sitter.

I was surprised to see no review of the French Quarter Culinary History and Tasting Tour in Trip Advisor when I was searching for a food tour of New Orleans. This was an outstanding way to spend the afternoon sampling such Louisiana specialties as turtle soup, seafood gumbo, red beans and rice, pralines, muffulettas, and shrimp remoulade. Not only was the food both abundant and excellent, but the guide includes tours of some of New Orleans's most famous restaurants. Our afternoon included stops at Desire at the Royal Sonesta, Antoines, Arnouds, and Tujaques to name a few. Do book ahead online - http://www.noculinarytours.com/ - as the tours fill up quickly. We had to take our second choice of days but were glad this happened because our guide Sally was fabulous! Current price of $46 per person sounds a bit expensive, but the eight of us thought we got more than our money's worth.
