Our guide Clint led us on an incredible journey through Yellowstone. Our first stop was in the Grand Tetons to watch the sunrise and we saw some wildlife on the way. We were each provided binoculars to better see our surroundings and they really enhanced the experience. We were treated to yummy muffins in the morning and there was plenty of water and other beverages available throughout the day. Along the way Clint provided a lot of facts and tidbits about the park and its history which helped bring context to the tour.
It wasn't a problem if you hadn't purchased a park pass, and easy for those that had to use them. We lucked out and barely waited at the park entrance. Since the tour was small, just 9 of us, we were able to change plans on the fly - when our group wanted to see something we stopped and could linger or when we weren't interested, we moved along. There were plenty of bathroom breaks. Clint timed our tour to hit Old Faithful when it was estimated to erupt and advised us to get a seat early. I'm glad he did, Old Faithful erupted earlier than the estimate, and by heeding Clint's advice, we were able to watch it. We had a nice picnic lunch along one of the many rivers that included drinks, sandwiches, chips and fruit. There was lots to see in the park and Clint did a great job packing in as many sights as he could. A
Chelsea was an exceptional tour guide. From meeting her at 6:00 a.m. to the close of the tour day, we were extremely impressed with her for every minute of our unforgettable experience. Firstly, Chelsea is an inspiration to be around, and shes someone you would choose to hang out with for 12 hours. Shes highly knowledgable and had such tremendous insight into all the wildlife and physical features we saw. Her background education, I dont remember her specific degree course, carved the framework for Chelsea being a fountain of the coolest information. Shes so passionate to share what she knows, and when any of our group had a question or needed clarification, not only did she respectfully answer, her responses had us hanging on the edge of our seats. From finding us a bald eagle a few minutes after the last people joined the tour, to the final stretch of our journey back to our homes, Chelsea had us each captivated. The tour progressed at a good pace, and we appreciated that Chelsea did not try and stay to a strict schedule if there was an intriguing animal to observe or another thermal feature to gawk at. My husband and I will not forget our 12-hour Yellowstone National Park and Wildlife Tour, and the fact that all ten of us on the bus, three groupings plus Chelsea absolutely loved each others company, made the day even more fantastic.
Our guide, Monica, was personable, well informed, helpful and energetic. She went out of her way to make sure we had the opportunity to see wildlife.
