We loved every part of our time with Garl! Sloughing was new to us and fascinating to see creatures of the Everglades up close in their homes. Kayaking both fresh and salt water were wonderfully beautiful and very different! The sunset at the end on the saltwater marsh was the best way to end our day experiencing the Everglades. We felt like we’d truly immersed ourselves in a way we’d not been able to in other parks. Garl is full of knowledge, patient, kind and trustworthy. Our three children never felt unsafe and delighted him with all of their many questions. We highly recommend this trip if you’re headed to the Everglades!

I can't recommend this experience enough. Garl is an Everglades institution: very kind, helpful and great entertainer. He is very competent and professional: it is no coincidence that big companies like NatGeo, BBC, rely on him in the production of documentaries concerning Florida and the Everglades. Regarding the tour, doing 3 different activities during the day makes the experience more dynamic and fun. The best parts are kayaking with alligators/crocodiles and watching the sunset in the kayak on the coast. It was definitely the best experience of my vacation.

We (family with two kids 14+12) took the tour with another family. We had a great experience. At first we did not see the starting point on the far left side next to Robert is Here, but they told us Garl always finds his customers, look out for a barefoot guy. Garl is very flexible to organise the tour according to the participants needs. His timing was great. In the midday sun we walked through the mud of the pine forests and in the afternoon we kayaked through the mangrove waterways. We learned and discovered so much about the everglades, we would never have on our own. Garl makes sure you see alligators and crocodiles up close while you are still safe. And of course so many other animals and plants. He also caught a fish by hand for us to hold it shortly. He took some great photos and videos and provided them for a download afterwards. We definitely recommend this guided tour. The most memorable day of our two week Florida vacation, even for the kids considering we also went to Universal.
