The daytime historic district walking tour was fantastic! We're usually not big fans of group tours but we had a fabulous experience with TC, the guide, and the small tour group we were part of on the day. Two hours flew by, and we could have easily walked and listened to TC for longer than that, as there is just so much history on each Savannah city block. TC is an engaging and well informed storyteller. He's quick on his feet, personalizing some of the tour experience to the tour guests' experiences/backgrounds. It definitely helped that we did the tour on a beautiful afternoon in the off-season when the city wasn't crowded, and all the houses and squares were bathed in an attractive light. While walking around Savannah later on, after the tour, we passed by a few other walking tour guides and their groups, and just overhearing snippets of their monotonous and formulaic presentations, reaffirmed for us that we made the right choice in doing the Genteel & Bard tour. Highly recommended, even if you're not a typical "group tour" type of person. TC's presentation sparked our interest in learning more about the various people, events, and landmarks he talked about during the tour.

TC does an excellent job and floods you with information about the history of Savannah. His enthusiasm is so enjoyable! The best part are the individual headsets he furnishes so you can hear clearly what he is saying without all huddling around him like a bunch of chicks. Definitely recommend.
