I took the afternoon Historic Savannah walking tour, guided by T.C. The tour was two hours in duration, walking at a leisurely pace and stopping here and there at well-spaced and appropriate intervals. My 92-year-old father-in-law was able to keep up easily with the group of eight. TC was very charming, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, informative and entertaining. Savannah itself is the star of the show. TC related some of the highlights of Savannah's history, gave us a few insights regarding architecture and craftsmanship, introduced us to some of Savannah's traditions and quirks, and generally conveyed his love for this beautiful city. Everyone on the tour gets his/her own receiver and headphones, which allowed us to clearly hear everything TC was saying, regardless of your distance from him or ambient noise. He was also able to transmit to each of us audio clips and music from his iPad, and he showed us several photos and maps on his iPad. This was a very effective use of these modalities. Overall, this was a very enjoyable and informative tour, and I would say the effective use of the iPad and headphones gives it an edge over the many other similar walking tours of Savannah.

Fascinating walking tour with a very knowledgeable and a fun tour guide. T.C. shares historical photos and music throughout the tour which adds an extra dimension to what you see. Definitely a highlight of our Savannah experience - wouldn't have been the same without it!
