I was looking for something to wrap up my trip to Alaska and since my flight was not until the evening, I decided to try the glacier landing tour through Alpine Air. Very cool! Casey was our pilot he was competent and made us feel at ease. The upside to going by helicopter is you can get so close to the glaciers and still be safe. The views were amazing. Drinking from a glacier, really cool both literally and figuratively. I will do this again the next time I am in Alaska.

Well the start wasn't too encouraging, the helicopter we were supposed to ride to the glacier didn't start. Then we moved to the other one. That worked fine other than needing some fuel. But, later on everything was near perfect. We we're fortunate to be doing this tour on a clear sunny, non windy day. Tai was our pilot, he is really nice. Very savvy in spotting wildlife from so far up in the air. We saw black bears, moose. Glacier was heavenly, first time in my life water as blue as I found at the glacier, it was mesmerising. All in all, it is must do item of you are coming to Alaska.

This was the highlight of our once in a lifetime trip to Alaska. The staff was so genuinely happy, helpful and provided a safe and amazing trip up to the glacier. The sights were so beautiful! We rode the dog sleds which was so fun! And...we got to hold four day old puppies as well! I would have to say this was one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced!
