This was a fantastic day. We were looking for a private way to enjoy the Grand Canyon. While we were searching Trip Avisor, we had a difficult time.
We didn't know that these hiking trips book out of Flagstaff, Sedona, Vegas, etc.
Also, what is a sandwich? (We've had a piece of bologna between two slices of bread on a bus out to Mayan ruins in Mexico.) We were afraid! 😆
First of all, as soon as you book, their communication is spot on with texts and emails! They figure out where they need to pick you up from, and what time!
Next, they want to know your sandwich preference. You should know that when it came to lunch time, they had all kinds of choices for (non-alcoholic) drinks. Our sandwiches were huge! They served lettuce, tomato, onions, and a bunch of condiments. They had different types of potato chips, cookies, and a huge basket of fresh fruit! They made a great picnic lunch with tablecloth, cloth napkins, and real silverware!
Back to the hike! Our guides (Mr. Jason and Mr. Kevin) were incredible. They were prompt to the hotel, and sent us a text when they arrived. Once seated, they asked us questions that helped them decide how much, and where, we were going to hike in the canyon. Once we got there, they had backpacks set up with waters, jerky, snacks, and candy. They provided cleats for over our shoes, and hiking poles.
Except for religion and politics, our guides could talk to us about anything! We learned about animals, plants, rocks, indigenous culture, the canyon, and a lot more all while having the most fantastic, private, and customized experience.
The description didn't do this trip justice. They really took care of everything. Thank you, Mr. Jason and Mr. Kevin. Great job!
