Make your pwn way to the West Rim where guests are provided an opportunity to experience the awe-inspiring canyon from many different perspectives. Please Note: Last ticket is sold at 4:45 p.m. from March to November and varies as days get longer or shorter going into and out of the summer. Please be aware that Arizona does not observe Daylight Saving Time. Thus, during the winter months, Grand Canyon West is on Mountain Standard Time and is a full hour ahead of California and Nevada, which are on Pacific Standard Time. When DST is being observed, beginning in March, the time at Grand Canyon West is the same as the time in Las Vegas and California.

Grand Canyon Skywalk

This 10-foot wide, horseshoe-shaped glass bridge extends 70 feet out over the rim of the Grand Canyon. Look down and you can see right through the glass platform 4,000 feet to the floor of the Canyon below. This engineering marvel offers unparalleled views of one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders. Nervous about walking on glass almost a mile above the floor of the Grand Canyon? Have no fear—the Skywalk is strong enough to hold seventy fully loaded 747 passenger jets. I was a little disappointed in the lack of different rock colors. I've been to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and those views are spectacular. That said, I'm still glad I went and enjoyed the views. The best view is definitely at Guano Point. You'll have to climb to the top of the peak to experience the 360° panoramic view, but it's worth it. You'll probably have to wait a few minutes for the shuttle but they do a good job of moving everyone around. I also paid for the Skywalk and that was kind of cool. The only downside of the Skywalk is they won't let you take your cell phone because they want to sell you their pictures from their photographers for about $20 apiece. I DEFINITELY recommend getting there early. We arrived around 9:10 and were probably the 10th car in the parking lot. By the time we left around 1:30 there were about 150 to 200 cars in the lot. The temperature was projected to get to around 105° that day and was already very hot at 1 PM. So that's another reason to arrive early.

We bought tickets for general admission and a skywalk, no tours. We are 1500 miles from home and started having car issues. I emailed the place last night to ask for a refund. They said no because their policy is 24 hours for tours. We did not have a tour. They would offer us a new date. However, it’s not likely that we will be back in a year. Very dissatisfied with this. I would completely understand no refund for a tour as that is hard to get rebooked, but for general admission?! I can’t believe that would be hard to fill 4 spots.

Don't waste your money. It's a tourist trap to get your money. We got there in 2020 from a Vegas Trip. They are only money makers and they don't care about your experience at all. You are considered as live stock and nothing more. And don't waste your money at the Rim. We got there and it not worth it. They try to make you believe you can't bring your own Camera cause they don't want you to drop it in the the canyon but the reality is they only want you to pay 35$ a photo. They are not giving enough time to take a descent picture. They say "Next!" when the picture is taken with a poor quality and you have to follow the directions that bring you directly to the cashier. What about the food tent outside. It was freezing et raining and they didn't want us under the tent and let us outside to the rain like animals with our food plate with nothing to protect us from the rain when eating their food. Try to find a way to visit the Canyon another way but but not that way. They fool you telling you they want ton keep their lifestyle traditions but the fact is that they only want your money and their traditions are only a way to cheat you and make you pay. I always dreamed to visit the Grand Canyon, it was looking so majestic, but now the magic is gone. Shame on you Grand Canyon West
