This was a fun, short stop. Easy access right off I-80. You can stop just to visit the gift shop and the bridge over the river, or you can pay $15 per adult to visit the museum. We did the latter. It took us about half an hour to get through it. I definitely recommend listening to the audio tour (included with your ticket price). It adds a lot to the experience. I didn’t listen to every stop (I did maybe half of them?). The gift shop is nice, with a pretty big selection.

What a clever idea to build a museum focused on people's journey to the West right on top of the freeway that is still the main artery from east to west. They have a lovely interactive exhibit complete with an audioguide that gives a detailed and interesting summary of region's role in the settlement of the West from stagecoaches to fiber optic. Totally worth the ~$16 cost, expect to spend 1-1.5 hours here.
