Paddle along the historic Anahulu stream, home of the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. These enormous and friendly sea creatures swim peacefully along the river. They can grow up to 500lbs!

Enjoy learning about the history of the location while learning skills and tips about stand up paddling. Come during the evening to enjoy a stunning Hawaiian sunset.

You will begin with a brief lesson on land and then paddle across a calm bay into the Anahulu stream. As a group lesson, other paddlers to join as well. Enjoy getting to know other travelers on a fun experience!

Don't have good balance? New to the sport? Don't know how to swim? No worries -- All our instructors are certified lifeguards, super friendly, and highly trained to give you an awesome experience on the water.

I took the group SUP lesson/tour, but I was the only participant, so bonus for me! Vivi was my instructor/guide and she was amazing. I had tried SUP in Lake Tahoe, but had never taken a lesson. I liked that even though it was just the 2 of us, Vivi acted like a professional and stayed present during my tour as an instructor. She was friendly and filled with Aloha Spirit as well. We took time on the beach to go over some paddle strokes, then went out in the water. The canal was lovely and she took some great pictures of me on a SUP! She also teaches yoga. I told her she'd never get me doing yoga on a SUP, but she did!! It was super fun and informative. I feel much more confident in my skills and knowledge for when I am on my own in Tahoe. Thanks so much Rainbow Water sports and Vivi! I'll be back next time I'm on the island!

Kezia was a great guide and the scenery was awesome. I felt really confident on my board by the time we returned to shore. These guys were great from first booking until I left, knowledgeable about their environment and supporting good causes through their boarding company. 👍👍

Hi Tracy! Thanks for the great review! One of our goals is to help you become a confidential paddler; I’m glad we succeeded and hope you have many more times to paddle in NZ. Although we can’t guarantee turtles, it’s very common to see them. I’m sorry they weren’t visible that day!

Very easy to book on internet and management expeditiously answered/explained on phone calls I made what to expect. Tour guide, Michael, was exceptional, displayed an in depth knowledge of the stand up paddle boarding and explained in full detail, stressing safety as a priority, to make the most of it. It was our first time on this water sport, and it we are looking forward to do this again next Hawaii visit. Thanks Michael for the awesome experience.
