Your half-day cruise from Key West starts at the Opal Key Resort Head out into the waters of the Key West National Wildlife Refuge, where you'll enjoy a guided kayaking tour through the mangrove habitat and go snorkeling in the clear waters of this protected environment. Your guide provides instruction for kayaking and snorkeling, plus tells you a little about the history of the area. Use of all gear is included, as well as snacks and beverages on board.

My husband and I were looking for an excursion in Key West and stopped at the Visitor Centre in Key Largo to inquire. Adam, one of the people working there, offered this suggestion and when we decided to go ahead with it, he promptly called them and made all the arrangements. Quick and painless. We read the reviews on TA and thought this is too good to be true. We were not disappointed. The captain, Evan, and the tour guide, Derek, were friendly and welcoming. The boat was clean and performed well. Derek kept us entertained with his knowledge of the ocean and history of the area even though he grew up in Nebraska! We snorkeled - didn't see as much ocean life as I would've liked and the water was quite cold even with wet suits on. But that had nothing to do with the excursion. The kayaking was great. We took at least an hour paddling through the mangroves. The water was clear and we saw sponges, crabs etc. as we were traveling. The best part was the sunset and the dolphin we saw playing at the harbor. Amazing. It was also great to get to know the others in the group. Started out as strangers and were family by the time we got off the ship. We would recommend this adventure to anyone regardless of age and ability.

I did the all day tour & was greeted by one of the tour guides. As we were heading to our kayaking destination, we were given facts about the different seas. They had drinks & food available on the tour. We went kayaking around for about an hour or so as we listened to the tour guide give us details about the different wildlife. We looked at different birds as well. We had the opportunity to go snorkeling as well, but many of us declined because the water was too choppy. The ones that did snorkel, received wet suits, flippers, and goggles. They were in the water for around 45 minutes as the rest of us chopped it up and listened to the tour guides about their encounters on the sea. Our trip back to the mainland was just as smooth as our trip out and we were able to grab a few drinks before we exited the boats. They received a tip before I was helped off the boat & wished us all well. Even though I was by myself, the guides made sure I didn't feel like it. Everyone was super friendly & checked on me in timely fashions. I had a fun & relaxing time. 😊

Wonderful experience in a small group. The crew of three made everything seem easy and more than made the few hours very enjoyable. We were on a morning adventure, thought it might be a little cool but it worked out great as we kayaked around Mule Key then snorkeled. The Key was full of wildlife. The water was so clear for snorkeling that I saw more variety of sea life than I remember in other places I’ve been. Knowing about the difference sponges and seeing them in their habitat was wonderful too. There was enough to snack on and drinks of your choice. I highly suggest this company and their packages. They give discounts to returning customers too.
